Talk About Town (#1)
[From enemy: Pit Fiend] |
Mud shot and icecloud arrows--both fine projectiles, to be sure, but both requiring crystals to make.
This, I can undersand... but imagine what it would take to make even better ammunition? A scary thought, eh? - Junro, Poet |
Talk About Town (#1)
[From enemy: Diresaur] |
Did you know that servants are only legally allowed to wear garments of certain fabric? Turns out, this law is a relic of the time when it was necessary to differentiate slaves from their owners, and perhaps it still serves the same function today. Funny thing is, servants have to wear the selfsame fabric used to make slaven harnesses.
Ah, 'tis an evil law, perpetuated by evil people. - Rimo, Spearman |
Talk About Town (#1)
[From enemy: Zu] |
Fang of bat, phial of yellow liquid... Crooked fang, phial of yellow liquid... Hrm? What's that? Don't mind me. I'm merely repeating the goods I need to exchange to get my hands on some new ammunition, lest I forget. They're not easy things to come by, you know. - Mersam, Treasure-Hunter |
Talk About Town (#1)
[From enemy: Werewolf] |
You've heard he famous saying that a good steak is worth ten fold its weight in potions? Of course you have!
Now, that saying's older than I am, and potions and philtres have come a long way since I was a lad, but you have to admit it still has the ring of truth about it! Eat a quality steak, look me in the eye and tell me it doesn't invigorate you! - Irrim, Apothecary |
Talk About Town (#1)
[From enemy: Tiny Mimic] |
I should think you know by now that arrows, shot, and the like are a prized commodity in these parts, eh?
Most of them, you see, must be imported from other lands! We've none but ourselves to blame, mind you. If only there were a few more people here with the skill to craft them... Aye, that's why you'll be going to the bazaar for your munitions. Bring some scales or fangs and you'll get what you need. - Gobalta, Merchant |
Talk About Town (#1)
[From enemy: Silicon Tortoise] |
Armor, once sundered, requires Repair, and that costing more dearly when such is of High Quality. Why? Fool! You must use Materials of like Strength lest all Assays at Repair be entered into vainly.
Nor is the procurement of such a mean Task. Stories abound of hale Warriors venturing forth to obtain Shells tough as Iron and ne'er returning, having run afoul of said Shell's Occupant. - Kana, White Mage |
